Where am I again?

It has been a glorious month. I’ve been on tour to celebrate the release of Loki: A Bad God’s Guide to Ruling the World so now have no idea where I am, who I am, or where I live. Somewhere between Cornwall, Norwich and Hull, I think. I don’t think I can adequately sum up this month, so here are some snapshots.

I started in London…

A doodle wall that I left behind after painting the window of the Southbank Foyles. The children of the Southbank did me and Loki proud.

Another window I painted, this time at the bookshop Halfway Down the Stairs in Greystones, Dublin. Authors, visit them, they RULE!

Yes, at some point I definitely went to Ireland…

I saw nature….

The smell of this wood in Ireland was something I wish I could bottle.

I went on a tour of schools in Cornwall, and some beaches…

I went to Norwich too…

And I finally visited Wonderland bookshop and met this Very Important Pig.

Oh, and there was a launch party too. Thanks, Waterstones Trafalgar Square and all the gang at Walker, and my amazing wife, who’s been here all through the Loki ride (and come up with quite a few of the ideas for him too…)

So, all in all, Loki, A Bad God’s Guide to Ruling the World is now well and truly launched. 

I do have one last event, in Newark on Sunday, before the summer. Tickets here!

I’ll be taking some time off to do human people things not writer troll or performing tour monkey things. But I’ll also be writing again. I miss it, when I don’t have time. 

Book Four is LOKI: A Bad God’s Guide to Making Enemies. It’s out Sept 2024, but I’ll have more news about other Loki projects in the not too distant future. I better go back to writing book four now. See you next month!

Books of the month

My most anticipated book for July is The House Trap by Emma Read, out TOMORROW, July 6th. An escape room story with a spooky twist! The premise reminds me of the Buffy episode when a frat house has a Halloween party and the scoobies get trapped in it. And anything whose premise makes me think of Buffy is good news I say.
